Aug 17, 2019 1. When the muffle furnace is used for the first time or after long-term deactivation, it must be oven-dried. The time of the oven should be 200 C for four hours at room temperature. 200 C to 600 C for four hours. When using, the furnace temperature should not exceed the rated temperature to avoid burning the heating elements.
Operate the muffle furnace as mentioned operating procedure above by keeping the set temperature 200°C. After stabilizing, record the temperature at an interval of 5 minutes for total of 30 minutes time period. Similarly check the performance verifiion at 600°C and 1200°C for 30 minutes. ( or as per temperature limit of muffle furnace).
